Voice Podcast
Voice – It’s a pretty simple name for a podcast app. But I mean what would a podcast app be without a voice?
The idea behind Voice is to be a podcast community, think it as a hybrid between Instagram and Twitch. Taking bits and pieces from these platforms and fusing them together with functionality of a podcast app. I really like Twitch business model. Letting each user support their favorite streamer by either following or subscribing.
I would like to see something similar for a podcast app. Instead of paying a monthly fee for the whole platform, why not pay for the podcasts you listen to instead?
What Instagram is doing great is how it is letting user share content with each other and comment/discuss about it (yes it is kinda destroyed by bots right now, and yes I have seen The Social Dilema.. Good thing this is just a concept).
The App
The concept and visualization. Based on the users data and by utilizing some sweet AI power this screen could be personalized with podcasts and information interesting to the user.
In the top we have the header with that sweet logo you saw earlier. To the right of the logo we have the Direct Messages icon, similar to Instagram, letting the user share, discuss and comment about podcasts, episodes, share certain parts of an episode (snipping tool but for audio).
Next up we have two important tabs: The first one “Your Shows” – the main view with a flow of podcasts and episodes. The second one “Live Shows” – What if we give the creators the opportunity to host live talkshows, episodes etc.
Featured Podcasts, Podcasts for you, Your podcasts – are all personalised content, its up to the user (or the super smart AI) to decide the content here.
In the very bottom we have our trustworthy navigation bar, taking the user around the app to the most important pages.
Main navigation consisting of:
- Podcast page – Home Page
- Search – Search for podcasts, episodes, categories, and users
- Bookmarks – Bookmarked podcasts, episodes + downloaded content
- User Profile – Profile similar to Instagram, personalize it and share your favorite podcasts with your friends or people in the Voice community
